Stefano Miozzo won the 2018 Pizza World championship 20/04/2018
The 2018 Pizza World Championship was a record edition. Opened on Monday the 9th April at Palacassa in Parma exhibition center, it hosted 773 chefs and pizza chefs belonging to 44 different nationalities. As always Pizza Classica has been the race that has registered the highest number of participants, more than 440 competitors in two days.
The 2018 Master World Champions was given this year to Stefano Miozzo of the pizzeria “al borgo 1964” in Cerea (Verona), winner in the Pizza Classica category with his pizza “The Grand- parents courtyard”. Here are the ingredients: Salad mid rib, late radicchio, pigeon, foie gras, vanillan maldon salt, balsamic vinegar, Parmigiano Reggiano cheese, hen bottarga. Miozzo won also the Parmigiano Reggiano prize for the best pizza with Parmigiano Reggiano cheese.
